BAGHDAD - "arenas of Liberation"
Said the Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon today announced the appointment of Mr. Nikolai Mladenov of Bulgaria as his special representative in Iraq and Head of the United Nations Mission to help Iraq (UNAMI).

He said UN spokesman Martin Nesirky in a press statement: "The Mladenov has extensive experience in the public service where he served as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria in the period from February 2010 to March 2013 and minister of defense from July 2009 to January 2010, as well as his work in several positions in international sectors, including the World Bank and the National Democratic Institute and the International Republican Institute. "
The Mladenov received a Master of Arts in War Studies from the College of "King's College" in London, master's and bachelor's degree in international relations at the University of National and World Economy of Sofia in Bulgaria, and succeeds Mladenov German Martin Kobler, who was transferred to the work of UN envoy in the Democratic Republic of Congo after accused of siding with the Maliki government and to cover up the repression of freedoms and scandals prison files.
