Maliki's visit agenda in Russia is to expand the horizons of cooperation between Iraq and Russia

BAGHDAD / NINA / Prime Minister, Nuri al-Maliki and his accompanying delegation arrived to Russia today 30, June in a two-day official visit.

A statement by Maliki's office said the prime minister will hold a series of meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and their talks will be focused on developing relations between the two countries and complete previous talks and expand the horizons of cooperation between Iraq and Russia in all areas, as well as discuss the latest developments in the region and ways to enhance security and stability.

The agenda of the visit includes the participation of the Prime Minister in the second forum of gas exporting countries, where he is scheduled to meet with the heads of Russian companies and businessmen participating in the forum and he will review the opportunities available for investment in Iraq's gas and oil fields and others, also he will renews the call for Russian companies to take advantage of the available investment opportunities in Iraq.

The accompanying delegation includes the oil minister, Abdul Karim Laybi, the Industry minister, Ahmad Nasser Karbouli, the Chairman of the National Investment body, Sami al-Araji and the media adviser of Prime Minister, Ali al-Moussawi as well as a number of advisers. / End
